Van Tran Congratulates Loretta Sanchez

On Her November 2nd General Election Victory

Based on the current vote tallies, it looks unlikely that I will win the 47th Congressional district. I have placed a call to Loretta Sanchez earlier this afternoon to congratulate her and wish her success in the 112th Congress. It was important to wait until a majority of the vote by mail ballots have been counted because history has proven that voting trends fluctuate frequently in central Orange County elections.

My genuine hope is that Ms. Sanchez is successful. Our state cannot continue to face double digit unemployment. Being in sync with the agenda of recovery set forth by the new Republican majority in Congress will be central Orange County’s best option to climb out of this recession. I can only pray that that Ms. Sanchez will not be an obstructionist.

As a thirty year resident of Orange County, I will continue to be active in our community and strive to make central Orange County a better place to work and live. I am deeply humbled by the overwhelming support I received over the past 18 months from across the nation. Cindy and I are in awe of your compassion.
